This collection of artists from opposite sides of the world bring together the deep underground sounds of Cape Town South Africa vs Detroit, MI., with a powerful message from Nelson Mandela, the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. The original mix by Neil Gain features a combination of warm instruments, and a bold baseline, accompanied by beautiful strings littered with a combination of sweeps, fills and percussion. The spoken word which builds up towards the first break gives way to a strong message to the youth of today. Remix duties have been given to US based Mike Agent-X Clark, who brought his signature Detroit Afro/Latin house vibe, as well as Cape Town based producers, Ashwin Julies aka Dwson, with his funky, minimal interpretation, and Leighton Moody aka Soulsideup, delivered with his deep and soulful, melodic mix.
